Conquest Motorhomes B Touring Cruiser GX2

More Room and Sleek Interior Décor Make this New Class C a Standout

If you’ve been considering a new motorhome over the last few years, you’ve likely noticed a trend: Motorhomes are becoming cool. Stylish, even. Clearly influenced by the high-tech interior design of some of the nation’s high-rise condominiums, today’s coaches are a long way from the camping conveyances of yesteryear. More and more, they’re being billed as “grand tourers”, vehicles that should be considered for any long-distance or family outing, not just the odd weekend getaway.
The B Touring Cruiser GX2 from Conquest Motorhomes (a division of Gulf Stream Coach, Inc.) is a perfect example. Available in two floorplans on a Workhorse 6.0 Vortec or Ford E-450 chassis, (model 5291 shown), the GX2 is a sleeker, more modern interpretation of its popular Touring Cruiser.  “It also has more room, because we’ve added a wider body and a seven foot ceiling,” commented Pam Parten, marketing manager for Conquest Motorhomes. “The feeling is magnified by our new Sky View front cap and our patented Atrium Slide.”
Located directly above the overhead bunk area, the Sky View is a large, tinted window with shade that lends an open, airy feel to the living area. The Atrium Slide, which features windows on top of the slideout room as well as all three sides, houses the company’s Dream Dinette, which also converts into a bed. Another large slideout accommodates a hide-a-bed sofa as well as the galley’s three-burner stove, sink and convection/microwave oven.
In addition to the feeling of roominess, the first thing you’ll notice are the coach’s European-style Curv-tec™ cabinets, which as the name would imply, are curved instead of square and flat. And following in the same theme, the wall for the bath area is likewise curved, creating an inviting path to the rear of the coach. In the model 5291 floorplan, the toilet and lav are located in on room and a large neo-angle shower with glass door is located directly opposite. In the master suite, a 60 x 74-inch walk-around queen bed is located in its own slideout.
Well equipped in base form with features like an electric patio awning, central vacuum system and 4kW Generac generator, the GX2 can be optioned with niceties like full-body paint, a bedroom color LCD television and leather furnishings.
